Android TV Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 July 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to the TVshuru Android TV / Google TV app published by Tangible Spin LLP on Google Play.

TVshuru is a hospitality TV platform used by hotels, serviced apartments, resorts, and similar properties to present guest services, dining, local experiences, information, and request flows on an in-room television. This policy explains how the Android TV app and the TVshuru server handle data.

This policy is intended for Google Play privacy disclosure purposes and should be read with our general Privacy Policy at TVshuru.com/privacy.html.

1. Summary for Google Play

The Android TV app:

Depending on how a hotel configures TVshuru, the service may process room identifiers, guest names entered by hotel staff, service orders, request notes, staff admin accounts, device enrollment records, and demo or sales inquiries.

2. Data We Collect or Process

App and Device Data

We may process TV surface identifiers generated by the app, room or device binding information, app state, cached content, theme or display preferences, IP address, user agent, request headers, timestamps, and server logs.

Purpose: app operation, room binding, content delivery, troubleshooting, security, and service reliability.

Guest and Room Context

When a hotel uses TVshuru to personalize the room experience, the hotel may enter or maintain guest name, room ID, room label or number, guest tier or stay context, and check-in or checkout status.

Purpose: show the right room content, support guest-service flows, route requests to the property, and help hotel staff manage active stays.

Guest names are masked by default in staff views unless an authorized hotel user reveals the full name. Reveal and checkout actions are logged for accountability.

Orders and Service Requests

When a guest or hotel staff member places or manages a request, we may process ordered or requested items, quantities, options, prices, currency, order status, timestamps, room ID, guest ID where configured, and free-text notes entered with a request.

Purpose: submit and manage dining, housekeeping, concierge, maintenance, or other property service requests.

TVshuru does not collect card numbers or payment credentials in the Android TV app. If a property enables payment through a phone handoff or external provider, that provider's privacy policy and payment terms apply.

Hotel Staff and Admin Data

For the hotel admin system, we may process staff user name, email address, password hash, role, membership, authentication token metadata, and actions taken in the admin system.

Purpose: authenticate hotel users, enforce role-based access, secure tenant data, and maintain operational auditability.

Demo, Registration, and Lead Data

If you submit a demo, registration, or sales inquiry through TVshuru, we may collect name, email address, phone number if provided, company or hotel name, role, number of rooms, message, page, referrer, IP address, and user agent.

Purpose: respond to inquiries, provide demos, manage trials, and prevent spam or abuse.

3. Data We Do Not Collect Through the Android TV App

4. How We Use Data

We do not use Android TV app data for third-party advertising.

5. Sharing and Disclosure

We may share or make data available to the property operator using TVshuru, authorized staff users of that property, infrastructure and service providers that host or secure TVshuru services, and professional advisers or authorities where required by law, legal process, security, or compliance.

We do not sell personal or sensitive user data.

6. Local Storage on the TV

The Android TV app uses WebView DOM storage. Local storage may contain a generated TV surface identifier, cached property content, display and UI preferences, enrollment or setup state, and temporary app state needed for navigation and performance.

You can delete local app data from the TV by clearing app data or uninstalling TVshuru from Android TV settings.

7. Security

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we design TVshuru to limit access and collect only what is needed for the service.

8. Retention

9. Deletion and Data Rights

To delete local Android TV app data, open Android TV settings, go to Apps, select TVshuru, then select Clear data or uninstall the app.

For server-side data, hotel guests should contact the hotel or property that provided the room TV service, because the property controls guest stay and room-service context. Hotel operators, staff, demo contacts, and sales contacts may email privacy@TVshuru.com for assistance with access, correction, deletion, or retention requests.

We will respond to privacy requests within the timeframe required by applicable law.

10. Children's Privacy

TVshuru is designed for hospitality environments and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through the Android TV app. If a property uses guest names or room context for a family stay, the property is responsible for collecting and using that information lawfully.

11. International Transfers

TVshuru may process data using cloud infrastructure and service providers in India or other countries where our providers operate. Where applicable, we use appropriate safeguards and contractual measures for cross-border processing.

12. Legal Bases and Applicable Law

Depending on the jurisdiction and relationship, data may be processed to perform the service requested by a property or guest, for legitimate business and security purposes, with consent where required, or to comply with legal obligations. This policy is intended to support compliance with applicable privacy laws, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and Google Play's User Data policy.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as TVshuru changes or as legal and platform requirements evolve. The updated policy will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.

14. Contact

15. Play Console Data Safety Alignment

For the Android TV app, the Play Console Data safety form should stay consistent with this policy. Based on the current app and server behavior, likely disclosures include app activity/service requests, app info and performance/server logs, device or other IDs such as the TV surface identifier, personal info where voluntarily submitted or entered by a property, and purchase/order-related service request data where the property enables ordering.

Likely sharing disclosures include sharing with the property operator and service providers as needed to provide TVshuru. There is no sale of personal data, no advertising or advertising ID use, HTTPS transmission, and deletion through local app clearing and privacy request channels.
