Data Deletion

Your right to erasure under the DPDP Act, 2023 (Section 12)

TVshuru respects your right to data erasure. The Android TV app stores some data locally on the TV, and the TVshuru service may also process server-side data when a hotel uses TVshuru for room binding, guest service requests, orders, staff administration, or demo inquiries.

How to Delete Your Data

You can completely erase all data stored by TVshuru directly from your TV device:

1 Clear App Data

On your TV device:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select AppsSee all apps
  3. Find and select TVshuru
  4. Select Clear data and confirm

This will erase all locally stored preferences and cached content.

2 Uninstall the App

For complete removal of all app data:

  1. Go to SettingsAppsSee all apps
  2. Find and select TVshuru
  3. Select Uninstall and confirm

This permanently removes the app and all associated data from your device.

Note: Clearing app data removes local TV app data. Server-side data managed by a hotel or by TVshuru may require a separate request.

What Data Is Deleted

Server-Side Data

Clearing the TV app does not automatically delete records managed by the hotel or by TVshuru's backend, such as room binding, guest stay context, service requests, orders, staff accounts, audit logs, or demo inquiries.

Hotel guests should contact the hotel or property that provided the room TV service for guest-stay or room-service data requests. Hotel operators, staff users, demo contacts, and sales contacts may email privacy@TVshuru.com for access, correction, deletion, or retention requests.
